Inauguration Euphoria

The historic moment of President Barack Obama's Swearing In to Office was filled with one four letter word.

Love.

As all the past presidents and inaugural dignitaries took the stage, an energy continued to build.

Then out stepped the 44th President of the United States of America.

During his acceptance speech after taking the oath, he said the importance of healing this country and continuing to love one another.

Then inaugural poet Elizabeth Alexander began her poem "Praise Song for the Day" and captured the true essence of the day and what makes the world go round . . .

"What if the mightiest word is love, love beyond marital, filial, national. Love that casts a widening pool of light. Love with no need to preempt grievance."

That's loving reckless.

The ever clever and spry Rev. Joseph E. Lowery closed the momentous occasion, starting with verse three of the National Negro Anthem, Lift Every Voice and Sing, a poignant move to begin his passionate remarks.

"Make choices on the side of love, not hate, on the side of inclusion not exclusion, tolerance not intolerance."

Here's to loving reckless with our new President in office! Have you hugged someone today;)?
